Epimesh film has been developed as an alternative to Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) for applications requiring an electrode (anode/cathode) with very low sheet resistance combined with high optical transparency. The film comprises an ultra-fine metal mesh embedded into a polymer coating which is adhesively bonded onto one side of a flexible carrier film. Surface resistivity is typically in the range 0.4 to 1.5 ohm/square, depending on the mesh pitch. Transmission of the metal grid is typically above 90%. The standard carrier film is heat stabilised PET. Alternative carriers (e.g. PEN, glass) are available. The mesh can be patterned to suit a particular end use requirement. Different versions of Epimesh are available for different end applications.

This grade of Epimesh film offers an excellent combination of high optical transparency (86%) and low surface resistance (1.2 Ohm/square). It is based on a square packed metal mesh with 300 micron pitch. The metallisation is pure nickel. The carrier substrate is 125 micron thick, heat stabilised PET.

Epimesh 300S Gold
This grade of Epimesh film offers an excellent combination of high optical transparency (86%) and low surface resistance (1.2 Ohm/square) with the added advantage of a gold surface finish. The gold surface allows good ohmic contact to over-coated layers such as PEDOT. It is based on a square packed metal mesh with 300 micron pitch. The metallisation is gold over nickel. The carrier substrate is 125 micron thick, heat stabilised PET.
